How to turn a floor plan into an interactive 3D property website

A practical workflow for converting approved plan geometry into a measurable, mobile-friendly 3D walkthrough that property buyers can explore online.

A useful 3D property website begins with one canonical plan, not an artist's impression assembled separately from the dimensions. Walls, openings, rooms, furniture and measurements should be generated from the same approved revision so the floor plan and walkthrough cannot quietly drift apart.

Start by calibrating the source plan against a known dimension. Model wall intersections as separate editable segments, attach doors and windows to their host walls, and preserve the source and confidence of every inferred value. That makes review faster and helps a client understand which details are confirmed.

The public experience should then be designed for ordinary phones as well as desktop screens. A dollhouse view explains the full layout, room viewpoints provide quick navigation, and a collision-aware walk mode makes the home feel spatial without requiring an app download.

Estate Studio publishes an immutable snapshot for every live tour. Later draft edits remain private until they are approved and republished, while enquiries stay mapped to the exact project and published revision that generated them.
